Meet our Medical Director, Dr. Geo
As a member of the XY Wellness community, you’re probably already familiar with our mission: We are here to help you reclaim, rebuild and renew your good health and quality of life, through a multi-faceted approach that we have designed to be clear, concise, pragmatic, and actionable.
You may not, however, be as familiar with the faces who are hard at work behind the scenes. So today, we’d like to take a quick moment to introduce you to XY Wellness Co-Founder and Medical Director, Dr. Geovanni Espinosa—better known as Dr. Geo.
Dr. Geo is a recognized global leader in holistic and integrative urology. A board-certified naturopathic doctor (ND) and acupuncturist, he became the first ND to complete specialized urology training at Columbia University under the mentorship of Dr. Aaron Katz.
As our XY Wellness Medical Director, he is responsible for scientific research, product formulation, quality assurance, and customer education. But Dr. Geo is also the Director of the Integrative Urology Center at the NYU Langone Medical Center, where his well-known clinical practice focuses on the treatment of male urological conditions such as prostate cancer, prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and erectile dysfunction (ED).
He has authored and co-authored numerous research papers published in peer-reviewed journals and several books about prostate cancer and male reproductive health. Through his podcast, blog, and books, Dr. Geo continues to positively influence both self-health advocates and healthcare practitioners, empowering them to enhance urological and male reproductive health.
The son of Cuban parents—born and raised in Bronx, New York—Dr. Geo is also a husband and proud dad to three amazing kids. When he’s not busy at work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, exercising, and practicing the Israeli martial arts, Krav Maga.
