Optimal Eating for Managing Prostate Cancer

March 03, 2021

Hippocrates, the ancient Greek philosopher and physician who inspires the Hippocratic oath for new graduating medical students, is credited for the popular phrase, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”

Our goal with the XY Wellness Diet, along with our Nutraceutical Support regimens, is to transform what you consume into a powerful weapon against cancer, and in the process, introduce you to the joy of preparing and eating real food.

But how does it work? How can food be therapeutic?

The right foods can have cellular beneficial effects to potentially halt the progression of cancer.

For example, some foods like berries, broccoli, and brussels sprouts are abundant in cancer-fighting phytonutrients that actively inhibit cancer growth. Other foods like white button mushrooms and shitake have immune-boosting abilities. A strong immune system is your body armed to eliminate abnormal-looking cells (i.e. cancer cells) in your body.

Lastly, chronic inflammation is linked to prostate cancer development and progression. Avoiding inflammatory foods in your diet, especially refined sugar, gluten, and dairy, can reduce the body’s inflammatory load and improve your health. In fact, for the month of March, why don’t you join me in our annual March against inflammation and eliminate gluten, refined sugar, and dairy? I would love to know how you feel by April 1st.

Removing unfavorable foods from your diet may seem daunting and left without many food choices, but the opposite is true. Download the XY Wellness diet plan, and you’ll find many food options to enjoy.

I think with some effort, you’ll find the XY Wellness diet to be doable and enjoyable.

Let’s make it happen. Good food is medicine. Your diagnosis may be an opportunity to live your healthiest life yet.

Yours in Good Health,
